Odisha

Odisha In 1936, ultimately an independent state Odisha was constituted as a separate province by carving out certain portions from the provinces of Bihar, Odisha and Madras. It has an area of 155,707 square km and has a population of 4.19 Cr.

Odisha is endowed with vast resources of a variety of minerals and occupies a prominent place in the country as a mineral rich State. Abundant reserves of high-grade Iron ore, Bauxite, Chromite, Manganese ore along with other minerals such as Coal, Limestone, Dolomite, Tin, Nickel, Vanadium, Lead, Graphite, Gold, Gemstone, Diamond, Dimension & Decorative Stone etc. are extensively available in the State

Odisha is known for its rich cultural traditions, which are an amalgamation of its art, architecture, dance, music, and festivals. One of the most important aspects of Odisha's culture is its classical dance form, Odissi, which has a history of over 2,000 years. The state's art and sculpture are seen in its intricate temple carvings, especially at the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Jagannath Temple in Puri.

Odisha signed the Letter of Undertaking (LoU) with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India on 22nd Sep 2022. It submitted its Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) on 31st May 2023 and RPC approved projects worth Rs. 57.34 Cr for Odisha.
