Madhya Pradesh is a landlocked state in India with a varied geography that includes plateaus, hills, and river valleys. It lies between the rift valleys of the Narmada and Tapti rivers. It is divided into three ranges Rajpipla Hills, Mahadev Hills, and Maikal ranges from west to east. Madhya Pradesh with an area of 3,08,245 sq.km. is the second largest state in India.

The state is bound on the north by Uttar Pradesh, the east by Chhattisgarh, the south by Maharashtra and the west by Gujarat and Rajasthan. As per the 2011 census, the population of Madhya Pradesh was 7.27 crore. The state is leader in textile manufacturing, automobiles, food processing, engineering and agriculture equipment manufacturing. The peaceful manpower of the State is an added advantage for industrial development

Madhya Pradesh signed the Letter of Undertaking (LoU) with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India on 15th September 2022. It submitted its Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) on 31st July 2023 and RPC approved projects worth Rs.105.36 Cr .

The key projects approved are as follows:

  • Capacity building of MSMEs related to ZED, IPR.
  • MSME Innovation cum Incubation Centres at Suitable Institutions.
  • Developing social and environment framework for MSMEs.
  • Preparation of communication and outreach strategy to focus on GGTP agenda
  • MSME Promotion Help Desk/Cell (at MPLUN & DoI)
  • Publish IEC materials, Uptake of ODOP & Samadhan, RAMP Branding & promotion
  • Exposure visits of select MSMEs (National and International).
  • DTIC Strengthening. MSMEs Testing Facilities and Quality Certification.
  • Support to MSMES for listing in stock exchange
  • Enable 1,000 MSME units to access financial products .
  • GI Tagging of ODOPs/Products
  • Development of IT Portal.
  • Software integration with concerned departments of MSMEs
  • Educate and train 5000 MSMEs about ESG & RECP Practices
  • Professional Development Assessment (TNA) of MPLUN Officials
  • Capacity building of MPLUN officials.
  • Partnership with educational/vocational institutions to skill building of MSME workforce
  • VDP Scheme. Anchor Vendor Facilitation and matchmaking
  • Collaboration with Private/Public Players
