Government of NCT of Delhi

The National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, India's capital, is a vibrant metropolitan region with historical significance and a dynamic economy. Delhi, officially designated as a Union Territory with a legislative assembly, has been the political and administrative center of India since Independence. Spanning approximately 1,483 square kilometers, it is the second most populous city in the world, with a population of over 16.8 million (2011 Census).

Delhi’s economy is diverse, encompassing trade, services, manufacturing, and information technology. As a hub of governance, education, commerce, and tourism, Delhi plays a pivotal role in the country's economic and cultural landscape.

As part of its economic and infrastructural development initiatives, the Government of NCT of Delhi has focused on:

  • MSME & Entrepreneurship Support – Encouraging startups, skill development programs, and financial assistance for small businesses.
  • Infrastructure Enhancement – Expansion of metro networks, smart city initiatives, and road connectivity improvements.
  • Tourism & Heritage Promotion – Conservation of historical sites, cultural festivals, and tourism infrastructure development.
  • Environmental Sustainability – Initiatives for pollution control, waste management, and green energy adoption.
  • Public Welfare Programs – Investment in education, healthcare, and social security schemes for residents.

The Government of NCT of Delhi signed the Letter of Undertaking (LoU) with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India on 13th December 2024. Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) of Government of NCT of Delhi is in process.
