The Union Territory of Chandigarh was established on November 1st, 1966, and serves as the capital of both Punjab and Haryana. It is located in the northern part of India, bordered by the state of Punjab to the north, west, and south, and Haryana to the east. With an area of 114 square km and a population of 10 lakhs (2011 Census), Chandigarh is renowned for its urban planning and architectural excellence, designed by the famous architect Le Corbusier.
Chandigarh signed the Letter of Undertaking (LoU) with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India on 21st March 2023. It submitted its Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) on 9th February 2024 and RPC approved 12 projects worth Rs. 43.07 Cr for Chandigarh. RAMP programme was launched in the UT of Chandigarh on 18th September 2024 in the event attended by MSMEs, Industry associations, media etc.

- Deployment of Business Facilitators as a part of the Industries Department to support MSMEs in Chandigarh in Credit, Business & Regulatory Facilitation
- Incentivizing uptake of ZED, LEAN & Innovative Schemes
- Diversifying the MSME landscape of Chandigarh through value chain upgradation with components of Chandigarh Industrial Survey, study of Chandigarh Packaging Hub and adoption of innovative packaging measures.
- MSME Export Promotion through establishment of Global Information & Market Facilitation Team
- Entrepreneurship Enhancement Programme for Chandigarh
- Chandigarh Online/Offline Marketing Enhancement Programme through development of Virtual MSME Pavilion, Sectoral Vendor Development Programmes and Reverse Buyer Seller Meets.
- Institutional Strengthening of Key Stakeholders - Establishment of Chandigarh MSME Portal and capacity building workshops
- Improving Environmental Sustainability of MSMEs- Awareness and capacity building workshops
- Enhancing Financial Inclusion for MSMEs through Interest Subvention under OCEN
- Enhancing Policy and Regulatory Support for Chandigarh MSME’s through Awareness Programs for MSMEs & Marketing Collaterals and Fiscal Incentives viz. Interest Subvention and Rental Subsidy
- Formalization Support for Trade & Logistics Providers in Chandigarh
