Tamil Nadu is the southernmost state of India. The tenth largest Indian state by area and the sixth largest by population. Tamil Nadu covers an area of 130,058 square kilometres in southern India. Tamil Nadu is located on the southeast coast of India. It's bordered by Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. The Bay of Bengal is to the east, and the Indian Ocean is to the south, the town of Kanyakumari is at the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula. Tamil Nadu had a population of 72,147,039 in 2011.
The state has a strong presence in manufacturing, including electronics, automobiles, textiles, leather, and sugar. Tamil Nadu is the only state in India to have all its districts covered under industrial corridor projects.
Tamil Nadu signed the Letter of Undertaking (LoU) with the Ministry of MSME, Government of India on 16th September 2022. It submitted its Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) on 31st May 2023 and RPC approved projects worth Rs.164.10 Cr for Tamil Nadu.
