  • What is the RAMP Programme?

    Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) is a World Bank supported Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India.
  • What is the total outlay of the RAMP Programme?

    The total outlay approved under RAMP is for Rs 6062.45 crore out of which Rs. 3750 Crore or USD 500 Million is a loan from the World Bank and the remaining Rs. 2312.45 Crore or USD 308 Million is the counterpart funding by the Government of India.
  • Who is eligible to participate in RAMP?

    All Udyam/UAP registered MSMEs are eligible to participate. However, some specific interventions / sub schemes may have some screening criteria for shortlisting.
  • What are the key objectives of RAMP?

    RAMP is designed in accordance with the World Bank Programme for Results (P for R) instrument. It has two Key result areas, and six Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs).
    The two results areas are:
    • Result Area#1: Strengthening Institutions and Governance of the MSME Programme
    • Result Area#2: Support to market access, firm capabilities, and access to finance.
    The six DLIs are as follows:
    i. Implementing the National MSME Reform Agenda
    ii. Accelerating MSME Sector Centre-State collaboration
    iii. Enhancing effectiveness of MSME CHAMPIONS Scheme
    iv. Strengthening Receivable Financing Market for MSMEs
    v. Enhancing Effectiveness of CGTMSE and “Greening and Gender” delivery
    vi. Reducing the incidence of delayed payments
  • What are the different components of RAMP programme?

    The RAMP program offers several types of support, including, Centre - state linkages and Policy, Access to Credit, Access to Market, Technology, Competitiveness, Greening, Skill Development, Digitalization, Access to Finance, Capacity Building, Access to Market and Technology Adoption etc.
  • How can MSMEs apply for RAMP?

    MSMEs interested in participating in RAMP typically need to reach out the implementing agencies/state government or program website.
  • What are the funding options available under RAMP?

    Depending on the program's guidelines, funding options may include grants, incentives, interest subvention and subsidized loans etc.
  • Is there a deadline for applying for receiving benefits under RAMP?

    Yes, the application deadlines vary based on the phase of the program. It's essential to check the official program website or announcements to ensure you submit your application on time.
  • Can foreign MSMEs participate in RAMP?

    Typically, RAMP focuses on domestic MSMEs; however, some aspects of the program may allow international MSMEs to participate (Reverse Buyer Seller Meets, Investor Meet etc).
  • How long does it take to receive support after applying?

    The timeline can vary depending on the type of support being applied for and the thoroughness of the review process. It may take several weeks or months for an application to be processed and for funds or support to be disbursed.
  • Can RAMP help with export activities for MSMEs?

    Yes, RAMP often has components aimed at helping MSMEs access international markets, including assistance with export strategies, logistics, and compliance with international standards.
  • What is the role of States in RAMP?

    All the States / UTs are participating in the Programme. They were supported to prepare the Strategic Investment Plans (SIPs) which is a strategic plan that outlines specific interventions at the State and Union Territory (UT) levels. The Ministry is providing gap funding to select projects.
  • What is CGTMSE and how does it benefit MSMEs?

    CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) is a joint initiative by the Ministry of MSME and SIDBI that provides collateral-free credit to MSMEs by offering guarantee cover to lending institutions, thus facilitating access to finance for new and existing enterprises.
  • What is TReDS and how can MSMEs benefit from it?

    TReDS (Trade Receivables Discounting System) is an electronic platform that allows MSMEs to discount their receivables. This helps MSMEs improve their cash flow by getting immediate payment for invoices from buyers and suppliers, ensuring smoother financial operations.
  • How does the MSME Trade Enablement & Marketing (TEAM) program support MSMEs?

    The TEAM program helps MSMEs enhance their marketing capabilities, offering support to access new markets, both domestically and internationally. It assists in improving visibility, providing training, and facilitating partnerships that allow MSMEs to reach a wider customer base.
  • What is the Green Investment & Financing for Transformation (GIFT) scheme?

    GIFT scheme promotes sustainable business practices by providing MSMEs with financial support to adopt green technologies, reduce environmental impact, and transition to eco-friendly operations. This initiative helps MSMEs contribute to environmental conservation while improving their business performance.
  • What is the Scheme for Promotion of Investment in Circular Economy (SPICE)?

    SPICE scheme focuses on encouraging MSMEs to adopt circular economy practices. This includes reducing waste, reusing resources, and recycling products. The scheme supports businesses in transitioning to a circular model to improve sustainability and reduce environmental harm.
  • Is there any sub scheme for Dispute resolution on delayed payment?

    Yes, the Ministry has launched MSE Scheme on Online Dispute Resolution for Delayed Payments (MSE-ODR Scheme) for addressing the issue of delayed payments.
